York Region Pilot Project is very successful.

The Youth initiative in York Region, supported by an Ontario Government Trillium grant has proven very successful. 4649 people participated in York Region chess activities in the last six months! Upon successful completion of our next year in this pilot, the OCA hopes to be able to expand this activity across Ontario.

Summer 2006 Chess Tournaments provide great selection and challenge.

Successful Ontario Open, Eastern Ontario Open and York Region Open as well as many smaller Ontario League Events are now followed by an incredible opportunity for competitive chess in Ontario.

Ontario Chess Championships

The OCA proudly announces new 2006 Ontario Closed, Ontario Seniors, and Ontario Women Championships. The Ontario Womens Championship was part of the OCA Sponsored 2006 Canadian Womens' Championships, in Richmond Hill, Ontario on January 2-7, 2006!

Sebastian Predescu is the current Ontario Champion!


Raja Panjwani is the current Ontario Youth Champion!


Wilf Ferner is the current Ontario Seniors Champion!
